TNWSB held its Indoor Games on 3 October 2026 at Krishna Arena, Koramangala, as part of the Annual Sports 2026, with badminton and table tennis bringing sub-units together for a day of friendly competition.
The Tangkhul Naga Welfare Society Bengaluru held its Indoor Games on 3 October 2026 at Krishna Arena, Koramangala, Bengaluru, as part of the TNWSB Annual Sports 2026. Two games were on the programme, badminton and table tennis, and members from different sub-units of the society turned up to take part. It was a day of quick rallies, close contests and plenty of encouragement from the sidelines.
Badminton drew 14 teams, who competed across four categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles. Kammanahalli emerged as the winner in Men's Badminton Singles, while Vivek Nagar secured the title in Women's Badminton Singles. In the doubles categories, Grace Home won Men's Doubles Badminton, and Vivek Nagar came out on top again in Women's Doubles Badminton, making it a memorable outing for their players.
Table tennis saw 8 teams competing in the singles categories for both men and women. Austin Town emerged as the winner in Men's Singles Table Tennis and also secured the title in Women's Singles Table Tennis, a fine double for their contingent. The smaller draw made for tight matches, with every point fought for and every winner cheered by teammates and friends alike.
What stood out through the day was not only the standard of play but the spirit in which it was played. Participants got a platform to showcase their sporting abilities, and the contests encouraged healthy competition, sportsmanship and fellowship among the Tangkhul community in Bengaluru. Sub-units backed their players loudly, and the mood stayed friendly whether a match ended in a win or a loss. Members who came to watch added to the atmosphere, catching up with old friends between games and meeting newer members of the society.
The Indoor Games formed an important part of the TNWSB Annual Sports 2026, bringing members together through sports and strengthening unity among the participating sub-units. Events like this give students and professionals a chance to step away from their routines, spend time together and build the kind of bonds that hold a community close.
Our thanks go to everyone who took part, to the players who gave their best in every match, and to all who came out to support them. Congratulations to Kammanahalli, Vivek Nagar, Grace Home and Austin Town on their wins, and well done to every team that competed. We look forward to the rest of the TNWSB Annual Sports 2026 and to seeing the same energy and good spirit in the days ahead.
