TNWSB marked its 40th Dharthei Kazip 2026 in Bengaluru with a Freshers’ Orientation, the launch of the new TNWSB website, performances, and the crowning of Mr. and Miss Fresher.
TNWSB celebrated the 40th Dharthei Kazip 2026 on 9 September 2026 at St. John’s Auditorium, Koramangala, Bengaluru. The theme for the day was “Soaring Toward Horizons.” The programme began with a Freshers’ Orientation conducted by the TNWSB advisors at around 9:30 AM, welcoming the newcomers into the community.
The formal session followed with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Khathing Jajo, escorted by Mr. Mashun Raleng and Mrs. Shonluiphi AH. Mr. Chipem Keishing, Chaplain of TCFB, led the opening prayer, and Mrs. Chuimirin presented an opening song. Mr. Shin Rumthao, Chairman of TNWSB, delivered a short address and presented gifts. A prayer of blessing for the TNWSB Executive Team was led by Rev. Dr. Jewel Azyamah, Pastor of TBCB.
The Chief Guest then addressed the gathering. The programme continued with a special song by Mrs. Thunrishon M., speeches by the Guests of Honour, Dr. Thotreithem Hongary, Mr. Penmi Kashung and Mr. Ninglum Hoomi, and an artistic performance by Mr. Nganaomi Chahongnao. Mrs. Sheyini Kayina, President of NSUB, also addressed the gathering.
One of the significant highlights was the launch of the new TNWSB website, introduced by Chairman Mr. Shin Rumthao. The website aims to provide Tangkhul community members in Bengaluru with easier access to community-related information and resources, strengthening communication and connection among members.
For members and visitors, the launch was a practical step forward. It gives the community a place to look for information and resources, and it supports the kind of connection that TNWSB aims to build among Tangkhuls in Bengaluru. The launch was one of the day’s most significant moments.
The Freshers’ Introduction and Gifting Ceremony welcomed more than 60 freshers, who also received blessings from Rev. Fr. George Mingthing of TCCB. Mr. Mayongam Valui, Associate Pastor of TBCB, led the lunch prayer.
The second session featured band performances by The Maichous, Unwritten and Overcast, alongside artiste performances by Mrs. Reitim Khapai and Mrs. Ramchanphi Zingkhai. The Freshers’ Q&A Hour had over 40 participants in its first round and continued through three rounds, followed by the Talent Show and the announcement of results. A memorable highlight was the crowning of Mr. Fresher, Amos Zimik, and Miss Fresher, Rakmi L. Shimray. The session also included a Lucky Draw conducted by Mr. Ahor Vashum.
The second session kept the programme lively. The band and artiste performances gave the gathering plenty to enjoy, while the Q&A and Talent Show gave freshers a chance to take part. The crowning of Mr. and Miss Fresher and the Lucky Draw brought extra cheer to the day.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Thanhor A. Shimray, General Secretary of TNWSB, followed by a closing prayer led by Mr. Ngachanso Shaiza, Home Evangelist of TBCB. It was a day of welcome, celebration and connection, and we thank everyone who helped make the 40th Dharthei Kazip memorable. To the freshers, welcome again. To everyone who served, performed, spoke, prayed and supported the programme, thank you. We look forward to seeing the freshers grow with the community in Bengaluru.
